Flatdogs Club started developing trails at Rietvlei Zoo Farm way back in 2003 for use for mountain bike racing. The racing originally started with a schools series and then later progressed to hosting provincial cross country racing after more trails had been established. Our volunteer members spent many hours forging the initial trails which formed the start of what we see at Rietvlei today. We have moved many tons of soil and trimmed plenty grass and vegetation.
